Once you place your order, we send you a PDF proof to approve before we go to print we aim to do this on the same day of your order if placed before 3pm. You will need to check and sign off this proof before we commit to printing your order. This might add a little time to your order, but it ensures that what you receive is what you ordered.
We will send you a proof from one of the following email addresses; firstname.lastname@example.org, email@example.com, firstname.lastname@example.org. Please ensure you add these to your address book or email whitelist to avoid the proofs being marked as spam

What is a PDF proof
It's the quickest and safest way to ensure your order prints correctly
We receive an almighty array of different files from clients. Some from home users designing themselves, some from professional designers. We can tell you now, it's vary rare that we do not have to amend these files in someway to ensure they print correctly. Most files are sent to us in various formats, such as Jpg, Tiff, EPS, PDF, PSD, Ai etc etc. Some are supplied in RGB colour format and need to be converted to CMYK or Greyscale. Some files are supplied in low resolution, some in vector format and some in high resolution. All these files have to be checked and imported into our templates before printing. It's not just a click and print situation, each order on average involves at least 15-20 minutes work in file conversion and layout.
When our designers are doing this work, sometimes the design will change slightly depending on the file type. For instance, a file supplied in RGB colour format will look more vibrant than the CMYK colour format we print in. Another example would be that a file is supplied without fonts or images embedded, when we open the file the fonts and images disappear without us knowing. This is why we need to send you a PDF. PDF is a filetype that gives the best representation of what will be printed, it's now the industry standard.
Amendments to your proof
We will send up to 3 proofs without any extra charges
All our online prices are based on you supplying print ready artwork to us. Occasionally you'll notice a mistake on the proof that we send to you, it happens. All you need to do is reply to the email, attaching your new artwork and we'll reproof the artwork. As we have to do a bit of work to every file you send us, we limit the amount of changes to 3 sets of proofs before we start to charge for our time. We think this is very fair as you shouldn't really be ordering your labels without first signing off your original artwork. Please note that when you send us amendments your order will be put at the back of the artwork queue for reproofing. So any amendments can directly effect the time it takes to get your labels.
Dispatching your labels

Once you have replied and approved your PDF proof, the countdown has started. We need to book-in your job on the printing press, prepare your files for printing by imposing them into a multi-up format, print the labels, trim them down to size and pack your order for shipping. This takes time and is a manual process carried out by skilled professionals, it's not a quick automated "press print" process. We aim to do all of this within 48 hours of your proof approval, excluding weekends and bank holidays. If you approve your order after 12 noon, that will count as being approved on the following day.
Despite the rules we have in place above, we run a tight ship here at Stickythings Limited and we do not like to keep you waiting. If we have available stock, sign off and a bit of time we'll proceed with your order ahead of our standard times. Quite often labels are ordered and dispatched on the same or next day.

We dispatch via DPD on a standard next day service for the mainland UK and a 2-3 day service for the rest of Europe. There is an ability to upgrade your order to a Saturday delivery, an AM delivery or even a Sunday delivery. You will need to contact us beforehand if you wish to use these services as they may not be available for your location and products.
