Custom labels and stickers available in any shape and size

Retailers & manufacturers generally use custom labels to mark specific equipment, products or merchandise that require a ‘cut to size’ or ‘cut to shape’ label. They don’t sacrifice on their design using off-the-shelf sizes, they tailor labels to suit their individual application for the no-compromise finish.

Using our print & cut machinery, we can customise your labels to any shape and any size. You are not limited by set-sizes as with many companies. We do not charge for expensive cutting dies as we cut our labels using a digital process.

We offer custom label quantities, so you can order 1 single sample or many thousands. You can get an instant price too, which is ideal for prototyping.

Design custom labels online

An amazing feature of using our service is that you can enter a specific label size and design it instantly online, using our label designer tool.

We also produce personalised labels with a translucent finish here.

Custom Shaped Labels – Designing

If you require a custom shaped label like the ones in the pictures, we ask you to supply a vector cut line that we can use to cut your labels. This will need to be on a separate layer in a 100% magenta colour. You can create vector cut lines in programmes such as Adobe Illustrator, InDesign or Inkscape (free).

You can order samples that have our logo on them free of charge, with them you can test adhesive, see material finish and print quality.

    Material Description

    Waterproof Vinyl Labels

Our custom labels are made from a 100 micron thick white water resistant vinyl with either a quality gloss or matt finish.

Because of their excellent whiteness, opacity and smoothness, your personalised labels will look fantastic.

Supplied on sheets as standard but can also be cut individually if required for a small fee.

Used mainly to label an assortment of products in varying industries, they are a true multi-purpose label.

These labels are resistant to water damage, resistant to UV and will stay intact whatever the weather.

You can instantly design your custom labels online or submit your own artwork. If you would like to submit your own artwork, please read our artwork instructions located in the help menu.

  • Adhesives

    Label Adhesive

We have 3 adhesive options available for you in our custom range. The permanent adhesive is used when you do not require the label to be removed shortly after application.

This is a strong adhesive and is designed to stick for long periods of time. These permanent labels are mainly used for labelling products, used as logo labels or lapel labels for charities.

The removable adhesive is used for temporary labelling applications only as the adhesive is designed to be easily removable and by no means long term.

Usually these are applied to book and magazine covers as promotions as they do not leave any residue when removed (for up to 6 months). The removable adhesive is not suitable for sticking or sealing items or labelling products as it’s not strong enough to do so

Finally we have an extra permanent adhesive. This is used to stick to low energy surfaces such as plastic.

Design tips for when you create your custom sticker

    You can get custom stickers in any shape or size from us, here are a few recommendations to consider when designing them;

    1. Try and keep the shape of the sticker as basic as possible, really intricate and detailed edge designs can cause you to take extra care when peeling them from their wax backing sheet.
    2. When designing stickers, make sure add a contour cut around the logo which can be used by our presses to cut-out your design.
    3. To achieve a perforation across your label, simply add a dotted line on your cutter file and we’ll take care of the rest. Useful when designing tamper proof labels for jars and other containers. A micro perforation will do this. We recommend a 0.5pt dotted line for perforations.

    Supplying your artwork

Clients should supply high quality artwork for their personalised stickers in one of three ways, either upload your artwork with the order on the product page or simply design it online.

If you are designing for custom shape labels you’ll need to supply a vector file in PDF format. You’ll need to include a cutter guide so we know where to cut your labels and stickers.

    What are your advantages?

Your main advantage is that you are creating something unique. A custom label will stand out even more with a unique design when compared to a standard size or shaped label.

You’ll also able to tailor the size of the label to the content that is required on it. Wasted space on labels costs money, choosing your own dimensions to fit your content will save you costs in the long run.

Increase your bottom line by ensuring you create labels that fit precisely the content provided on them.

Get perfect results with your custom labels & stickers

Tying to get the perfect result for your product labelling can be quite a challenge. It’s often difficult to find label printers that will print vinyl labels to your exact requirements.

Many sticker printers will use off the shelf cutting dies, but this restricts you to certain sizes in their library. If you require a different size, then they’ll charge you for the manufacturing of a new cutting die.

So if for instance you have many different products with varying space for a label, it suddenly becomes very costly. Dies run anywhere from £100 to thousands depending on how complicated the cut needs to be.

How we produce your custom labels & stickers

Here at Stickythings Ltd we print & cut your custom labels digitally. This means that we don’t have the expensive manufacturing fees for cutting dies and we can instantly cut to your specific shape and size.

If you get the size slightly wrong the first time, we can simply amend the cutter guide layer on the artwork and get them perfect. It’s that easy.

We also offer a hard copy service where you can order a minimum run, often only £15 and see what the actual labels will look like prior to ordering a larger print run. This is ideal for photo shoots and prototypes where cost is a major factor.

  • Frequently asked questions

    Are custom stickers expensive?

Simply put, no. These custom labels will cost you no more than off-the-shelf labels because of the process used to produce them.

We don’t have to make expensive cutting dies because we can digitally cut your labels directly on the press once they are printed.

This means that not only is there a quick turnaround, the accuracy is second to none as it’s a single process.

Orders start from only £15 excluding delivery.

Can I have multiple designs in my custom sticker order?

Yes you can. Because we print digitally we can split the print run evenly amongst all your different artworks.

The only stipulation is that they are printed in the same shape/size and on the same material.

Can I provide variable data for printing?

Yes you can. If you have data that you want on each of your stickers and labels, you can provide us with a spreadsheet of that data and a sample mock-up for how you want it to look.

There are some design limitations with variable data so please feel free to contact us to see if your requirements are possible. We don’t charge extra for variable data as long as the single file supplied has less than 10 data columns.

    Leadtimes & Help

Once you order your custom labels, we’ll aim to dispatch them within 3-5 working days unless otherwise stated at the checkout.

You can get free delivery if your order is over £100 ex VAT. The delivery is a next day service from DPD, depending on where you live.

This is calculated at the checkout. If you have any questions, you can send a message to our customer service team directly through the website. We aim to get back to all enquiries with 24h.
